Sanja Bauk (JFDP 2006-2007, Religious Studies, Republic of Montenegro) gave a presentation entitled “Women in World Religions: An Overview”, within NGO “Anima” Forum in Cultural Center of Kotor - Montenegro, on September 28, 2007.
Sanja Bauk was hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for her JFDP fellowship.
Her presentation was devoted to the women’s main rules and treatments which they have in some of the world religions, according to: their traditional socially and ritually assigned rules, marriage, motherhood, religious interpretations of their characters, examples of their affirming and victimizing from the religious aspects.
The presentation content will be published as a survey scientific paper in the next number of “Anima” journal “Zinec – Journal of the Center for Women and Peace Education” (ISSN 1800-5632, no. 16, 2007) which is currently in the preparation and will be issued in December, 2007.
