Tell us about your time in the U.S. |
I had a great time both in professional and personal way, met a lot of great people and saw first hand what America is like. I spent most of the time in the gorgeous Berkeley, but also traveled to Jackson, New Orleans, Chapel Hill, Washington, Providence, Salem, etc.

How was your internship experience? |
I worked as a copy editor for the publishing house 'Hippocampus Press' and was very satisfied with the experience. It helped me enrich my knowledge of English language, but more importantly my understanding of the book-making business, etc. I had a very fine and friendly communication with the founder and owner of the company who gave a lot of valuable feedback in my work.

| What were your impressions of the U.S.? |
Mostly positive. I understood that the picture is far more complex when you have a chance to meet actual people from different strata of life and see how much they (don't) know about their state and world affairs.

| Looking Ahead |
What are you working on now? |
I'm working on my MA thesis 'Gothic Motifs in the works of E.A. Poe'.
I'm also working on a book of interviews with the renowned Serbian director, Djordje Kadijevic.
I'm co-editing a book about outsiders of Sebian cinema (directors, films and motifs that were wrongfully neglected and that deserve a re-evaluation by a group of young film critics).
I'm writing my second novel, together with book and film reviews in numerous Serbian magazines. I'm also writing DVD reviews (in English) for several American sites, like www.kfccinema.com and www.beyondhollywood.com

| What are your plans for the future? |
To keep doing what I'm doing now, only better.
