JFDP Alumnus Dimitar Poposki holds a seminar on Digital Library Networking

On May 22nd 2006, at the premises of the Faculty of Philology in Skopje , a workshop themed “SCOPUS: Advantages of digital library networking” was held by Mr. Dimitar Poposki. The lecture and presentation of SCOPUS was attended by over 12 librarians working at the “Blaze Koneski” Faculty of Philology – Skopje .

The lecture took place in two sessions. The first one included a brief overview of on-line data bases and computer courses for advanced search of the Internet databases of book publishers and basic use of Internet browsing and searching techniques. The second session focused on an elaborated presentation of the SCOPUS and EPNET database for which the University has continuous subscription.

The workshop was an immense success and the lecture was widely accepted by the audience. According to plans, the entire library network at the Departments of the Faculty of Philology shall implement this kind of utilization of electronic online academic resources and digital repositories in the upcoming period.
