JFDP Alumna Kristina Boban's students help The Novi Sad Humanitarian Center with translations

In April and May of this year, Kristina Boban's students in her Business English course have been helping the Novi Sad Humanitarian Center translate activity reports so that they can be placed on the web.

Their translations included, among other things:

  • a piece by high school students on the troubling development of a Serbian version of "Big Brother"
  • a warning against smoking written by and for young people
  • a description of Jazz as an art form
  • information about "The Heart Center," an anti-suicide organization

Hopefully, having these projects translated into English will help The Novi Sad Humanitarian Center attract more international recognition and cooperation. For their part, Ms. Boban's students got the opportunity to practice their business English in a real-world context, with real-world results.
